The Beginner’s Guide to Digital Marketing Courses

This is Part Two of my Digital Marketing Training series. In this article, we will wrap things up by looking at some of the supplementary materials that you can use when you are learning the online marketing courses that I have put together. If you are serious about making money online, then I would strongly recommend taking a course like this, as it goes into a lot of depth into the digital marketing world and how it can work for you. You might even find that after taking one of my digital marketing courses that it completely changed your life!

In this Part One of my digital marketing courses I looked at some of the free options that you have available for free on the internet. There are of course Google AdSense, which have been a free service for years, but there are also a number of other places where you can get paid to use online tools like web analytics, online advertising, website tracking, and many other ways of monetizing your site for future success. These free web analytics and paid search campaigns may not necessarily be what you are looking for though. As we will see in the next part of my digital marketing courses how to convert your visitors into leads and sales.

A very popular course is called the Google Analytics Pro program. This course on Udemy is probably one of the top free online marketing courses with over 200,000 students taking this course. With over 32 hours of webinar videos, plenty of content, and tons of supplemental resources it's an in-depth course that imparts full knowledge of all facets of digital marketing, from social media optimization to email marketing, to content marketing and more. It also takes you through the Google Structured Search algorithm and gives you tips on how to optimize your websites for organic search results. The program consists of three main modules, the first two focusing on core concepts and business skills while the last module focuses on advanced strategies using Google analytics. Although these courses do contain content and video, the real value comes from the in-depth quizzes that tell you how much you need to know and when you need to know it.

An even simpler digital marketing strategy is taught in the Google Learn/E-books that is part of the Google Web Master Tools suite. The duration of each chapter depends on the topic and if you are having trouble understanding something ask questions until you understand the concept. The most important thing about these courses is that if you do nothing with them it will go on record as an inactive lesson, so if you only want to review something there is no penalty, and if you want to take notes or do live video interviews you can.

Another popular course is called Search Engine Optimization for Newbies. This is a course that gives extremely detailed instruction on methods to improve your website using the methods that Google use to rank pages. The author claims that this method is so powerful that 90% of websites fail within six months. Although this is highly unlikely, this is an excellent introduction to media marketing and one of the quickest ways to start improving your online reputation.

In addition to Search Engine Optimization, there are two other very popular digital strategy training packages that you can take. The first is called Social Media Pro and the second is called Traffic Shortener. Both are highly complete packages that offer comprehensive information on digital marketing. The social media package requires you to take an introductory course called Social Media Marketing, the second requires you to take a comprehensive certification program called Traffic Shortener. Both are highly complete courses that provide comprehensive information, so if you are serious about improving your digital strategy these are the courses to start with.

The social media marketing analytics certificate program is designed to teach you how to obtain quantitative data on your traffic. It will teach you how many people click on your website or how many of those visitors are converted into customers. It is highly likely that this package will require you to complete some form of tuition. If you complete this requirement you will have a solid foundation of knowledge in digital marketing. You will also be prepared to begin the real coursework.

The Traffic Shortener course will teach you how to use social media tools such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Digg to promote your website. The use of social media allows you to reach more potential customers. The course also teaches you the fundamentals of internet marketing and how to generate targeted traffic to your site. The course is a great way to get some practical experience for the real-world application of what you have learned in the course. If you want to learn more about getting started with internet marketing, I highly recommend that you take either of these courses.
